:: Objectives
To encourage design excellence in the mid-Atlantic region, Inform magazine announces
the Inform Awards for 2008. Our focus is interior architecture, landscape architecture, and
object design – with broad guidelines that encourage the submission of furniture, lighting,
tableware, seating, exhibits, and signage. Public attention and acclaim will be focused on
the winners through publication in Inform.

:: Eligibility
The program is open to anyone in our primary circulation area who designs – architects,
landscape architects, interior designers, furniture makers, and industrial designers. (Our
primary circulation area is limited to Virginia, Maryland, Washington, D.C., West Virginia,
and North Carolina. Your business address must be located in one of these areas.) All work
submitted must have been completed after January 1, 2003.

:: Awards
Jurors will be allowed the freedom to confer Honor Awards and Merit Awards, and such
awards may be given in as many or as few cases as the jury believes are justified by
the quality of the submissions. The jury’s decision will be final. Award winners will be
announced to the news media and featured prominently in Inform magazine.

:: Fee
Fee for each entry is $135 for members of the Virginia Society of the American Institute of
Architects; $165 for nonmembers of the Virginia Society AIA. Checks should be made payable
to “VSAIA” and are nonrefundable.
