This eight-hour seminar offers an overview of the Graphic Divisions of the Architect Registration Exam and is designed to prepare intern architects for the successful completion of the ARE. The seminar touches on all three Graphic Divisions -- Site Planning, Building Planning, and Building Technology. Instructors will cover pertinent information regarding each division as well as ARE testing, instructional information, and sample vignettes.

Instructors:

  • Kurt Wassenaar, architect and principal of the Wassenaar Design Group, P.C., a five-person architectural firm in Charlottesville; and
  • Bruce Grulke AIA, project architect with Clark-Nexsen Architecture and Engineering in Norfolk

Both instructors have extensive experience with the ARE and in the academic community, with Mr. Wassenaar having served as an associate professor of architecture at the University of Virginia and Mr. Grulke as a professor of architecture at the Savannah College of Art and Design.
