Dear Friend,

Today, President Barack Obama called on our nation to come together and overcome the worst economic crisis in decades. But here in California, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger's proposed budget cuts will do just the opposite.

Thousands of homecare workers will gather this Saturday to stop cuts to their services that help seniors and people with disabilities live safely in the dignity of their own homes. Will you stand with them by signing a letter to Schwarzenegger? Click here to sign today:

Governor Schwarzenneger's cuts will reduce homecare workers' wages to minimum wage and leave many of them without health benefits. The Governor would also reduce the hours of needed care that many seniors and people with disabilities receive. Homecare consumers could well be left with a choice between a trip to the doctor or a prepared meal.

Homecare workers and consumers have defeated cuts like this before by uniting with other healthcare workers and allies. We can do that today. We can heed President Obama's call for Change by standing together with homecare providers and their consumers.

When you sign the letter to Arnold, you will become a member of the SEIUvoice community. SEIUvoice unites a growing movement of California healthcare workers and progressives for quality healthcare.

There's no time to lose. Your action will make a difference. Click on this link and take action today:
