The American Heart Association designed the Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Course to prepare a wide variety of healthcare professionals to recognize several life-threatening emergencies and to provide CPR, use of an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely, and effective manner.

This course is the American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers which carries a two year certification. This course is open to all SEIU UHW members only.

Please wear loose, comfortable clothing. You will be practicing skills that require working on your hands and knees, bending, standing and lifting. If you have physical conditions that may prevent these activities, please tell one of the instructors. pre-tests will be given to participants at the beginning of each class
