This is an ongoing class studying  and discussing sections of Nevi’im, the prophetic section of the Bible.  This term the focus is on three 8th century b.c.e. prophets, Amos, Hosea and Micah. The class will consider the historical setting as well as clasical and modern commentaries as we discuss themes of human injustice, God’s response, punishment and consolation, and visions of the future.

This is an on-going class.
