The pain of losing a parent can be devastating for the surviving adult child—no matter the parent’s age or cause of death. If you have a lost a parent recently, you have experienced the single most common form of bereavement. Join our four-part interactive workshop and together we will find ways of coping with the challenges of parental loss by utilizing Jewish texts and mourning practices based on Jewish teachings. There will also be journaling, storytelling and music.

Facilitator: Rabbi Tamara Miller is the Director of Spiritual Care at Geoge Washington University Hospital.  She is also the leader of Capital Kehillah, an urban community dedicated to Jewish Spirituality. (www.ckdc.org) Rabbi Miller lost both of her parents this past year.
