Greetings,

 Rally for the Roan
Wednesday, July 30
11 AM – 1 PM
Gregory Park, Glenwood Springs

On July 30 citizens from around the Western Slope and Colorado will converge in Glenwood Springs to demonstrate to the Bureau of Land Management that drilling the last public lands on the Roan Plateau is the wrong approach to meeting our nation's energy needs.

For the past seven years citizens, area governments, and hunting, angling, recreation, and conservation groups have had one message for BLM: Save the Roan Plateau.  But our call for balance in Western Colorado's burgeoning gas fields has fallen on deaf ears.

On July 30, citizens will Rally for the Roan and deliver thousands of protests to the BLM's Glenwood Springs office in a show of solidarity for these magnificent public lands.  Please join us.

Directions:

  • Take I-70 to Exit 114 (West Glenwood).
  • If you are coming from the west, go around the round-about and under the highway (taking you to the north-side of I-70). There you will enter a second round-about. Exit this round-about on US-6 West.
  • If you are coming from the east, once you exit the interstate, you just need to go through the round-about to US-6 West.
  • Follow US-6 West. You will go past the Glenwood Springs Mall on your right. Once you pass the Ford dealership on your right, you are getting close. Just past the Chevrolet dealership, make a right turn on Center Dr. As Center Dr. bends to the right, there is a small park on the left-hand side of the road; this is Gregory Park. There is ample parking on the street.
