This week marks the big finale of our Whistleblower Film Series and we're celebrating with a special screening. On Thursday October 29th at 6:30 P.M. we return to the Capitol Visitor Center for the Washington D.C. premiere of The Most Dangerous Man in America: Daniel Ellsberg and the Pentagon Papers, a new award-winning documentary about the man that leaked a top-secret government study on the Vietnam War. After the film, I will join a discussion with directors Judith Ehrlich and Rick Goldsmith and Daniel Ellsberg himself.

Here's a peek at what else has been happening in our neck of the woods:

• POGO urges Attorney General Eric Holder to reassess the sentencing of whistleblower Bradley Birkenfeld, who helped the U.S. government win a $780,000,000 settlement from UBS and finally begin to stop the annual leakage of $100 billion in lost tax revenues from the Treasury.

• There's new evidence that the State Department has much work to do when it comes to contractor oversight at key U.S. embassies.

• The Defense Contract Audit Agency has a new Director, but that won't fix the beleaguered agency's problems.
