You might also be interested in round two of
our Whistleblower Film Series, which happens
tonight at the Capitol Visitor Center at 6:30
P.M. This week, we are switching things up and
showing The
Whistleblower, a made-for-TV documentary that tells the
story of Chuck Hamel (a POGO board member), who blew the whistle
on big oil in Alaska and became the target of a major undercover
sting that threatened the lives of his fellow whistleblowers and
even targeted a senior Congressman.
Congressional sponsors of pending whistleblower
legislation are scheduled to speak before the film screening.
After the credits roll, Public Citizen's Angela Canterbury will
host a Q&A on that legislation. The event is sponsored
by Public Citizen and is free and open to the public.
We
hope to see you soon!
