HB 1517 - Voter Restoration Bill (for those who have served their time with the Department of Corrections) was heard and voted out of Committee right away.  Thanks to Sen. Darlene Fairley (32nd District - North Seattle), Committee Chair, for her leadership.  Bill is now in Senate Rules Committee.

This bill relates to voter rights for those who have served their sentence for a crime, yet still have a legal financial obligation to fulfill.

I urge you to support the House Bill 1517 People who have served their sentence for their crime should be able to vote without having to have paid ALL their restitution to their victim (aka 'Legal Financial Obligation').
