Jewish Fund for Justice
Dear friend,

I wanted to extend my personal invitation to join Jewish Funds for Justice for our celebration of Sukkot in Los Angeles. It will be an opportunity to meet other likeminded folks from the community and explore the meaning of this holiday. See below for all of the details.

Best,
Mik

Please join us for
Pursuing Justice in the In-Between
A night of celebration and conversation for the festival of Sukkot.

As Jews and as change makers, we live in between the world as it is and the world as it should be. Sukkot gives us an opportunity to pause in our daily pursuit of justice, celebrate the fruits of our labor, and replenish our spirits for the year ahead. We build a fragile sukkah, a temporary dwelling between nature and the human-made world, which represents both protection and exposure. Simultaneously, it is customary to open our temporary home to guests, creating and celebrating community. As we spend seven days in the sukkah, we learn how to live in vulnerability and openness.

Join us to celebrate Sukkot and explore with Simon Greer and guest speakers how working in community makes possible our pursuit of justice in the in-between.

NEW! We are excited to welcome our speakers for the evening:

Rabbi Elianna Yolkut, Adat Ari El, North Hollywood

Madeline Janis, Co-Founder and Executive Director, Los Angeles Alliance for a New Economy (LAANE)

Ali Barar, Architect, Gonzalez Goodale Architects
