The Selah Leadership Program trains a cross-section of leaders in Jewish and secular organizations to be effective, sustainable and collaborative agents for social change. Selah provides unparalleled personal leadership training, skills to facilitate organizational change, and opportunities for social networking.
Selah is a bridge between the internal and the external. Selah teaches Jewish social justice leaders how to cultivate the internal power and presence necessary to change external systems. We believe both are necessary for social transformation.
Selah is making an impact in the world. Selah helps leaders find new solutions to entrenched problems. Whether it is shifting an organizational culture from urgency to effective planning or moving from a posture of "turfiness" to a system of strategic collaboration, Selah improves the way leaders do their work.
Selah is cultivating a dynamic social network. Selah creates cohort communities comprised of Jews working both inside and outside of Jewish organizations. By bringing together a wide variety of Jewish leaders, Selah creates a more expansive picture of what leadership means, where it happens, and who qualifies as a Jewish social justice leader.
Selah is transforming leaders, their organizations and the broader Jewish social justice field. Since 2004, we have trained over 180 leaders representing 150 organizations from around the country. We are currently accepting applications for our Boston City Cohort. To apply you must be a resident of and work in greater Boston. Applications are due July 7, 2009.
