Greetings,

Tell Your Story

Small businesses have a lot at stake in this health care fight.  With costs continuing to rise, more small businesses have had to cut health care benefits for their employees and themselves.

So we are working with our friends at the Maryland Public Interest Research Group (Maryland PIRG) to make sure Congress hears directly from small business owners

First, you can help by signing onto Maryland PIRG's
small business coalition letter.  If you own or have recently owned a small business, please take a minute to read Maryland PIRG's small business coalition letter and sign on in support.

Second,
please share your personal story if you or your small business has been adversely impacted by our health care system.  No matter how short or long, your personal story with health care is the best tactic in this debate.  Politicians have heard the stats and seen the figures, but they haven't heard all of the important stories that tell the truth about our health care system.  Please take a minute to tell us your story in as few or as many words as you'd like.

Exciting Times

There is a lot going on right now at the Federal level, as well as here in Maryland.  As of a couple of weeks ago over 48,000 folks have now been enrolled in the Medicaid expansion all of you fought so hard to get enacted.  Truly exciting news, but there is a lot more to do.  We have a very electrifying campaign to announce very soon on our continued outreach to enroll eligible Marylanders.

There is also the ongoing building of the coalition (now about 1100 groups - of which, over 500 are businesses), so if you have yet to sign up get in touch, and if you know of a group that might be interested please have us out ASAP!  Thanks for all of your help and we will be in touch soon.

Matt, Vinny, Rosanna, Suzanne, Brooke, and all of our wonderful interns and volunteers.
