The Waxman-Markey American Clean Energy and Security Act (ACES/H.R. 2454) passed in the House late on Friday! (Read the Denver Post article here)

Thanks to Representatives DeGette, Polis, Markey, and Perlmutter for supporting legislation that is a historic first step toward real action on curbing global warming.

Thanks to all CAN members who called and wrote their Representatives! This was an extremely close vote in the House (219-212) -- your actions really made a difference!

The bill now moves on to the Senate, where we expect another tough battle...we'll be keeping you posted...
