Finish Line for FASTER
Earlier today, the Colorado House of Representatives passed a critical transportation funding bill (Senate Bill 108, the FASTER bill)! The bill will provide a new tool for local governments to raise money to build transit, which is a huge victory! Additionally, two new and very favorable change were made to the bill during the floor debate: more money for transit than had previously been in the bill and a provision that makes it easier for RTD to go straight to the voters to raise needed funding for FasTracks.
The bill has now passed both the House and the Senate, but in order for this bill to become a law the Senate needs to agree to the changes made in the House. This could happen as early as tomorrow!
It is imperative that we get as many people as possible urging their Senators to agree to the great changes made in the House. Please take a minute to send an email to your Senator urging quick agreement.

Subject: Please concur with the House version of Senate Bill 108
Dear [ Decision Maker ] ,
As your constituent, I strongly urge you to concur with the version of Senate Bill 108 that passed the House today.
I am very excited about the new tool that could allow local governments to raise money to build transit, the increased money for transit-related projects in the bill, and the provision making it easier for RTD to go to the voters to raise money to build out FasTracks.
Please concur with the House bill as quickly as possible so we can get this into law!
Thank you!
Sincerely,
