Ask your Representative to Support Sustainable Transportation

As our elected officials are struggling to manage a shrinking budget in an extremely difficult ecomony, finding ways to ensure that our roads are safe — and that we are building a sustainable transportation infrastructure — is ever more challenging.

One bill that is trying to find a solution to Colorado's transportation funding shortfall is Senate Bill 108, "FASTER." FASTER is being debated MONDAY, 2/19 on the floor of the Colorado House of Representatives.

Green provisions are in the current version of the bill, but they are under heavy attack. Your Representative needs to hear from you to ensure that we get a greener FASTER!

Subject: Please Support Sustainable Provisions in FASTER (SB 108)

Dear [ Decision Maker ] ,

As a constituent, I would like to strongly urge you to vote in support of Senate Bill 108, the FASTER bill, including the following provisions:

- Giving local governments an important tool by letting them toll to raise money to fix roads and build transit infrastructure (such as the build out of FasTracks), and

- Protecting the safety of bicyclists, pedestrians, and transit riders on roadways.

Colorado really needs to keep moving forward in developing a sustainable, multimodal transportation system that helps us address both congestion and greenhouse gas emissions while keeping roads and bridges safe. FASTER will help us get there.

Thank you.

Sincerely,
