Colorado has preserved much of its high country wilderness, and we thank our congressional leaders for those successes. Just recently, Congress approved wilderness protection for the stunning snow-capped peaks and high-mountain meadows of Rocky Mountain National Park.

Congress also designated new wilderness for Dominguez Canyon—rich, low-elevation, red rock country. We need more such lands protected in a more diverse and integrated wilderness network, one that connects wildlife habitat, protects water supplies, and ensures year-round quiet recreation.

Please thank Colorado's congressional leaders for these successes, and urge them to protect more wilderness.
