This is a crucial time in the Iowa Legislature! We are within two weeks of adjournment, and critical issues are surfacing or moving on short notice. Bill HF 2539 for children's health care reform is one such issue.
Monday night, the Iowa Senate voted 44-6 to expand children's health insurance in a wide ranging amendment to HF 2539, the Children’s Health Reform bill. Incredible bipartisan support from both parties, including from the party leadership, demonstrates the importance of this legislation.
