Lutheran Coalition for Public Policy in Minnesota

Greetings,

Climate change affects us all. God's amazing creation is in danger. With your help, we know we can deliver a strong message to President Obama and ensure that we prevent the worst impacts of climate change from devastating God's Creation and God's children.

In December, the United Nations Climate Change Conference will convene in Copenhagen to encourage world leaders to negotiate a global agreement to reduce greenhouse gas pollution worldwide.

Next week, the ELCA, National Council of Churches (NCC) and Church World Service will be delivering nearly 15,000 postcards to President Obama and his administration as well as to key U.S. Senators. Many Lutherans have already sent postcards to President Barack Obama encouraging him to attend the upcoming UN negotiations in Copenhagen and asking the U.S. Senate to take strong and effective action to prevent the worst impacts of climate change.

Now is your opportunity to add your voice to the call. Let's help deliver 20,000 postcards to the Administration on November 5th. To do that we need you to sign the post card online and tell your friends about this important opportunity.

Learn about what you can do to champion God's Creation and join LCPPM at these events.  More event information can be found at www.lcppm.org.

If you would like to schedule a workshop in your community, please call Patricia Benson, Creation Care Coordinator, at 651.247.3213 to explore the possibilities!

The Lutheran Coalition for Public Policy in Minnesota (LCPPM), in response to God’s Love, seeks to engage all people of faith in the promotion of public policy that supports peace, justice and care for all God’s Creation.
