Greetings,
Climate change affects us all.
God's amazing creation is in danger. With your help, we know we can
deliver a strong message to President Obama and ensure that we
prevent the worst impacts of climate change from devastating
God's Creation and God's children.
In December, the United Nations Climate Change Conference
will convene in Copenhagen to encourage world leaders to
negotiate a global agreement to reduce greenhouse gas pollution
worldwide.
Next week, the ELCA, National Council of Churches (NCC) and Church World Service will be delivering nearly 15,000 postcards to President Obama and his administration as well as to key U.S. Senators. Many Lutherans have already sent postcards to President Barack Obama encouraging him to attend the upcoming UN negotiations in Copenhagen and asking the U.S. Senate to take strong and effective action to prevent the worst impacts of climate change.
