Protect and Preserve Health and Human Service Funding
The governor has released his budget.
Here are some of the effects of that budget:
In the governor's budget there are suggested cuts within Health & Human Services that would result in cutting health coverage funding for 20,000-30,000 Minnesota children. The budget proposal would take $250 million from the Health Care Access Fund to help solve the revenue shortfall.
The governor's budget proposal would also divert $92 million of TANF funds (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families federal block grant) to help solve the revenue shortfall.
