Green Solutions Act of 2008
Green Solutions Act of 2008

As people of faith, one of the best ways we can care for creation and Protect Minnesota’s Future is to focus our attention on solutions to global warming pollution.  The Green Solutions Act is the first step towards setting real limits on global warming emissions from polluting sectors of the Minnesota economy. The bill provides Governor Pawlenty with a set of principals to use in negotiating a future Minnesota carbon emission tracking system and creates studies addressing the transition to a green economy in Minnesota.
Contact your legislators TODAY to let them know that you support the Green Solutions Act!  Legislators need to hear from their constituents!

ELCA Policy Base "The earth is a planet of beauty and abundance; the earth system is wonderfully intricate and incredibly complex.  But today living creatures, and the air, soil, and water that support them, face unprecedented threats.  Many threats are global; most stem directly from human activity.  Our current practices may so alter the living world that it will be unable to sustain life in the manner we know."

Subject: Support the Green Solutions Act of 2008!

Dear [ Decision Maker ] ,

The Green Solutions Act of 2008 provides Governor Pawlenty with a set of principals to use in negotiating a future Minnesota carbon emission tracking system. It is up to the Legislature to ensure that Minnesota leads with a strong program that results in real reductions in global warming pollution.

Passage of this initiative will make good progress towards reaching the goal that the Minnesota Legislature and the Governor set in 2007 to reduce global warming pollution 80 percent by 2050. One of the best ways we can Protect Minnesota's Future is to focus our attention on solutions to global warming pollution. I urge you to support the Green Solutions Act of 2008.

Sincerely,
